ABOUT US
Student Leadership Discovery is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to building strong Christ-like leaders equipped to impact their communities through high school and beyond!
Our Vision
Our organization's vision is to empower students with knowledge and values from a biblical perspective to create a positive cultural impact. We aim to develop individuals who excel academically and understand the world through a biblical lens. Our goal is to inspire students to tackle global challenges and improve their communities. We believe that integrating faith into daily life helps students drive meaningful change, demonstrating compassion, justice, and responsibility. Ultimately, we seek to empower students to be leaders who enhance culture and leave a positive legacy.
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate students to engage with the world and make a meaningful impact through a Biblical perspective. We provide a well-rounded education that promotes academic success and a deep understanding of the world based on biblical values. Our goal is to empower students to live out their faith in every area of life, encouraging purpose, compassion, and moral responsibility. By developing leaders who apply their biblical worldview to social issues, we aim to inspire positive change and create a lasting influence on the culture around them.
From Our Founder
Michele Talley, Founder of SLD
As the founder of Student Leadership Discovery, I am deeply inspired by the God-led journey we’ve embarked on together. Only through HIS direction, will SLD’s mission - to cultivate students to make a cultural impact through a Biblical Worldview – be a driving force to raise up leaders who will empower, inspire, and make a lasting difference in the world. Our shared commitment to this Gospel-centered vision will lead to transformation that creates a lasting legacy for tomorrow and resonates for generations to come.

“Student leadership in high school provided the critical experience needed in growing and shaping the fundamental skills I use in my career today. It challenged me in the areas of public speaking, time management, standing up for my beliefs, and having effective conversations with adults and other authority figures. I now use this experience to advocate for truth in public policy through meetings with members of Congress, press conferences, media interviews, and more!”
